KATRIN RIPPEL, FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL

Katrin Rippel, MENU International's founder, developed a deep appreciation for multilingual communication during 15 years of front-line customer service in the food and hospitality industry in her native Germany, in France, and in North America. She then completed rigorous training in language translation and international software and website applications.

She gained experience on projects for international companies such as Microsoft, Butler Hill Group and WeLocalize.

Rippel created MENU International in 2005 to offer integrated language and Internet marketing services to the food and hospitality industry.

Rippel is active in the German language and language technology divisions of the American Translators Association (ATA). In 2008 she was elected to the board of directors of the Northwest Translators & Interpreters Society (NOTIS).
